MILAN
RADOSAVLJEVIC

Professor, Director, academic researcher, and author. Thirty years at the intersection of leadership, innovation, and the systems that resist both.

Biography

A career built at the edge of institutional possibility.

Over the past 30 years of leadership in higher education and the private sector, Professor Milan Radosavljevic has advised, collaborated, and worked with all types of organisations — from early-stage startups to multi-institutional research consortia and public bodies.

He is the first Slovenian in the UK to reach Executive level in multiple higher education institutions, holding positions from Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Commercial) and Pro Vice-Chancellor for Research, Innovation and Engagement, to Associate Vice-Principal Research and Assistant Dean. At the University of Reading, he served as School Director of Teaching & Learning and School Director of Enterprise. At the University of Dundee he acted as Demonstration Projects Coordinator, and in the private sector as Production Director in off-site construction.

Professor Radosavljevic is currently serving as Director at WLC Ltd, bringing his extensive experience in leadership, commercialisation and high-performance organisation building to the private sector.

His research — predominantly industry-led — spans the built environment, with a track record of projects totalling over £30 million. He co-authored one of the construction sector's most ground-breaking textbooks on construction management strategies, and has contributed his expertise at institutions globally, delivering numerous executive courses in the UK and abroad.

Developing and leading student enterprise programmes has been particularly rewarding, with more than 100 student startups emerging from the programmes he has designed and led.

Personal Journey

The story behind the career.

Cycling Expedition

The last summer before the 10-day war in Slovenia — the beginning of the bloody wars in Yugoslavia. With two friends, Dušan and Gorazd, cycling the Adriatic coast from Rijeka to the Albanian border. An epic journey in a world about to change irrevocably.

1991 — Maribor, Slovenia

War of Independence

The Slovenian war of independence ran from 27 June to 7 July 1991, marking the beginning of the bloody civil war in the former Yugoslavia. Having just finished school and preparing for university, the world shifted. The rest is history.
